The Lookout at Homewood

The Lookout at Homewood

Perched above the Avon Valley in the rolling Somerset countryside, The Lookout is exactly that, a private hilltop retreat built for two, where the view is the main event and the outside world feels very far away indeed.

Arrive and the pace shifts immediately. There's something about stepping onto that raised deck, looking out across the valley, and realising you have it entirely to yourself. The hot tub is already waiting. So is a glass of something cold, if you're sensible.

This is a brand-new hideaway all super-king beds, mood lighting, and the kind of deep, uninterrupted quiet you genuinely can't manufacture. Dogs are more than welcome (they tend to love it here just as much as their owners do). While The Lookout is completely secluded, it sits within a lazy wander of Homewood's award-winning spa and restaurant so you get the freedom of a rural escape without giving up a single comfort.

Come morning, the valley opens up below you. Birdsong, mist on the hills, coffee from the Nespresso machine on the deck. The Bath skyline sits just a short drive away when you're ready for it the Roman Baths, the independent shops, the extraordinary food scene.

What guests rave about most is the privacy. There are very few places that feel this secluded while still feeling this looked-after. No neighbours. No noise. Just the view, the hot tub, and two people who needed this more than they knew.

Two-night minimum. Dogs very much included.
